Forest Green’s Dayle Grubb sidelined after tweaking hamstring getting out a car

Forest Green midfielder Dayle Grubb will miss the Carlisle clash due to a bizarre hamstring injury picked up last week.
Grubb was unavailable for Rovers’ 2-1 defeat at Macclesfield at the weekend due to “tweaking his hamstring” after getting out of his car and is expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks.
Jevani Brown has joined Grubb on the injury list after coming off after 28 minutes against the Silkmen with a hamstring injury.
Liam Shephard is also unlikely to feature having been ruled out since January 4 with an unspecified problem. George Williams is still recovering from a broken leg.
Carlisle could be boosted by the returns of Joshua Kayode and Harry McKirdy for the trip to Gloucestershire.
Rotherham loanee Kayode was pencilled in to make his first home start during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Walsall but was forced to pull out due to illness.
He was replaced in attack by Ryan Loft, who had a hand in the winning goal, so may be restricted to a place on the bench.
McKirdy, who has scored 11 goals this season, also missed out due to “fatigue” in his hamstring and looks set to start at the New Lawn.
