Port Vale shock leaders Swindon

Leaders Swindon saw their nine-match unbeaten League Two run ended with a shock 2-0 defeat at Port Vale.
Scott Burgess and Jake Taylor scored either side of the break to inflict Swindon’s first league defeat since October.
Vale’s own six-match winless run ended with a big scalp at Vale Park.
Burgess blasted home his first goal since September after being found on the edge of the box by Tom Pope in the 13th minute.
Pope almost scored himself moments later but Steven Benda made a good one-on-one save.
Burgess was denied a second as his effort was somehow scrambled away on the line.
Scott Brown kept the hosts’ lead in tact just before the break by making a great save to turn Keshi Anderson’s effort wide.
The lead was doubled in the 52nd minute when Taylor exquisitely curled his shot into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Goal machine Eoin Doyle saw his header somehow kept out by Brown’s legs as Swindon huffed and puffed without reward.
