Raith took over at the top of Ladbrokes League One with an eventful 1-0 victory over Airdrie at Stark’s Park.
Airdrie started the day as league leaders but a feisty affair was settled by Ross Matthews’ 42nd-minute winner.
Three players were sent off in the second half, with Raith reduced to nine men and Airdrie 10.
Raith defender Iain Davidson was sent off after 54 minutes for a bad challenge on Kurtis Roberts.
Airdrie’s Callum Fordyce saw red six minutes from time for violent conduct before Matthews was sent off in stoppage time.
The win took Raith two points clear of Airdrie at the top.
Third-placed Falkirk drew 0-0 at East Fife and there was another goalless stalemate between Clyde and Forfar.
Montrose moved above Dumbarton into fifth place with a 2-0 away win over their rivals.
Andrew Steeves headed home Graham Webster’s cross to give the visitors a 35th-minute lead.
The win was sewn up 14 minutes from time when Ryan McGeever put through his own net.
Ryan Conroy scored twice as Peterhead beat bottom-placed Stranraer 3-0.
Conroy struck from 20 yards after 34 minutes and bundled home a second shortly after the break.
Stranraer missed the chance to get back into the game when James Hilton saw his 64th-minute penalty saved by Greg Fleming.
Scott Brown sealed matters for Peterhead two minutes from time.
