Lopez posted footage of a gift Reyes received from his daughters last year

Reyes, who would have hit the milestone on September 1 this past Sunday, died earlier this year at the age of 35 in a horrific car crash.

And Lopez marked the occasion with a touching picture that showed a homemade photo frame designed for the footballer last year.

The sweet picture shows Reyes cuddling up to his two young daughters, with messages scrawled “Congratulations” and “I love you dad” on the frame.

On the back of the picture is written: “The heart never forgets the place it left its best heartbeats.”

The names Noelia (Reyes and Lopez's eldest daughter), Triana (their youngest daughter) and Mami are written under the emotional message.

Lopez captioned the post: "You will always be in my heart."

Reyes would have turned 36 on the same day as his former club Arsenal faced rivals Tottenham in the north London derby.

And Gunners loanee Dani Ceballos also opened up about his "hero" compatriot on the would-be celebrations.

Reyes had spent three years at Arsenal, scoring 23 times in 110 games - with Ceballos hailing from the same southern Spanish town as the former striker, Utrera.

And the 23-year-old revealed: "I joined Arsenal not long after Reyes died. He was on my mind a lot around that time.

"I'm sure he would have given me lots of recommendations on good stuff to do here in London.

"That was impossible because of his death, which was sad news for the world of football.

"I'm sure he's up there, proud that I'm following in his footsteps and I'm proud to be following in his footsteps too."

Before moving to the Emirates, Ceballos also revealed he spoke to Reyes' dad - who urged him to move to North London.
