BARCELONA'S stars were relentless in how they welcomed Antoine Griezmann to training, nutmegging the new striker TWICE.

Despite costing the Catalans £108million, Griezmann couldn't hit the ground running in Monday's workout.

The striker was clearly embarrassed at getting skinned twice

When the Barcelona squad took to a rondo with the cameras trained on them, the newboy was thrust into the middle.

Chasing the ball down, Griezmann's eagerness was not matched by defensive prowess as he let the ball slip through his legs on two occasions.

One occasion saw him give Ivan Rakitic a friendly shove while another resulted in the Frenchman hitting the deck in agony.

Griezmann's first day training with his new team came amid former club Atletico Madrid refusing to give up their pursuit of Barca.

The capital club's bosses are seeking a way to eke out the £72m they feel their rivals owe them having allegedly agreed to sign their man before his release clause dropped.

When footage of Griezmann's slip-up emerged on social media, fans were quick to point out that his biggest threat to being nutmegged wasn't even on the pitch.

Twitter user David wrote: "Wait until Messi comes lol. You'll get double lol."

Another, Alam, joked: "Imagine, the King of the Nutmeg hasn't even joined the party yet..."

Bon Vivant tweeted: "At Atleti they never tried to win ball back, that was Oblak's job."

Along with fellow new signing Frenkie de Jong, Griezmann ran through a guard of honour with a difference to begin the session, slaps raining down on the duo's back.

Midfield starlet de Jong was targeted in particular, as Kaine laughed: "Rakitic tried to kick De Jong really hard to injure him.
