N’Golo Kante Pays More Tax Than Amazon And Starbucks Combined After Refusing Offshore Account‬

When Chelsea star N'Golo Kante had his name brought up in the whole 'Football Leaks' scandal, there was surely a collective gasp from football fans.

Was his good guy image all an act? Had he actually been up to some dodgy stuff? These were just a couple of the questions I had after it emerged Kante set up an offshore company - which is fairly common amongst footballer players and managers.

Many have used it to exploit tax loopholes and there's been plenty of players who have found guilty of evading tax.

Chelsea insisted that the Frenchman set up an offshore company, and he initially adhered to their request before refusing to receive his wage through it.

He said "he just wants a normal salary."
Well it turns out that the offshore company could have saved him around £870,000 a year on his salary

In fact, Kante will now have to pay more tax than global giants Amazon did last year, according to The Mirror, who report the French midfielder will have to pay £6.7 million in tax after signing his new deal.

The report goes on to claim that Kante will pay £564,000 a month in tax income, as well as £305,000 in National Insurance per annum.

Kante really is the gift that keeps on giving and you can't help but love him no matter who you support.

He drives a Mini Cooper but had initially planned to run to the training ground, he was too shy to ask for a picture with the World Cup trophy after playing a vital role in France's triumph. Plus, no one has ever looked happier than N'Golo was to be riding a mountain bike.

What's more, the Leicester City man had dinner, watched MOTD played FIFA with a group of strangers in their house after they extended an invite to him.
