FOOTIE ace Daniel Sturridge has reportedly been reunited with his "kidnapped" dog - hours after a LA rapper claimed to have found it.

The heartbroken ex-Liverpool striker offered a £30,000 reward after his beloved pomeranian Lucky Lucci went missing when burglars smashed into his Hollywood home.

Daniel Sturridge promised to pay £30k to have his kidnapped dog back

The England hitman begged for the thieves to give the pup back to him unharmed, promising to pay a five-figure sum in return.

Today LA police told local media the dog had been found safe and well after people contacted the footy ace and he identified it as his.

It is not clear if any money changed hands.

Earlier an aspiring hip-hop artist based in the same city had claimed to be holding the missing pooch.

Twitter user Killa Fame, who described himself as a "Los Angeles trap music artist", posted a video along with a series of pictures of a similar-looking dog.

He tweeted Sturridge directly, asking "Is this Lucci?" and telling the athlete "Man I got him" in response to one of his desperate social media pleas.

In the video he posted, a young boy can be seen holding the animal as a man off camera says "Mr, Mr, I found your dog. Here it is right here Mr Sturridge, I got the dog right here.

"You need your dog, I got the dog right now. Here you go, look."

It's not clear if the pooch in the clip is actually the footballer's dog or just a similar-looking animal, or if the claim is even serious or just a sick joke.

Sturridge did not publicly reply to the tweets, although in a tweet of his own just hours earlier he urged anyone with information to contact him with a private message on Instagram. The England hitman begged for the thieves to give the pup back to him unharmed, promising to pay a five-figure sum in return.

He wrote: "Please send a video of his markings and his tag and where we can meet and we can organise the reward.

"Send whatever you have to my Instagram DM. Thank you."

Sun Online has contacted Sturridge's representatives for comment.

The footie star revealed his heartache this week with a series of Instagram videos from his Los Angeles house which was burgled.

Detectives arrived at the property on Tuesday afternoon as they started gathering evidence in the hunt for the kidnappers.

They took fingerprints from the broken door but Sturridge himself has taken matters into his own hands.

He shared his address, CCTV footage of the kidnappers entering the mansion as well as pictures of his dog, which is worth up to £4,000.

The striker revealed that a few bags had been stolen by the burglars.

But the loss of the favourite pet was what hit him hardest and he pleaded with the dognappers to come back "if they wanted to make money".

He said: "£20,000 straight up. Twenty g's, thirty g's, whatever.

"Bring my dog back to this house, I'm moving out of this b**** anyway, I don't give a s*** about this place.

"Bring the dog back to this address, I'll be moving out tomorrow or the next day. I want my dog back and I'll pay whatever.
