GARETH Bale has secretly wed his childhood sweetheart, sparking anger among in-laws who claim they were snubbed.

Real Madrid star Bale, 29, married Emma Rhys-Jones, 27, in front of just 60 family and pals.

Ex-SAS were hired to patrol the venue at a five-star hotel in Majorca - and it's believed to be connected to her family feud.

Emma's fraudster dad Martin, 55, was excluded.

Her grandparents John and Eva McMurray, who helped bring her up, were also left out.

John said: "I can't believe what they've done."

The retired painter and decorator said: "We knew the wedding was coming up and of course we were expecting an invite.

"We helped bring Emma up - I was like a dad to her when her own father was in jail.

"She asked me if I'd walk her down the aisle when she married Gareth."

The pair originally planned a star-studded occasion in a picturesque Italian castle with Beyonce as their wedding singer.

But they had postponed it after a "rollercoaster" year.

A family source said Emma, 26, hoped it would give her chance to heal a rift with her former jailbird dad - however that does not appear to have happened.

The couple uninvited him along with other family members who were involved in a row over a missing suitcase containing £750,000 of drug money.

A case with cash, cocaine, and watches went missing from her elderly grandparents' home in 2017.

Cars belonging to Emma's aunts were also torched in Flint, North Wales.

The couple eventually switched their wedding to the island of Tagomago off Majorca where Bale had proposed to Emma two years earlier.

The couple took the SAS precaution after a drugs feud engulfed Emma's family in Cardiff.

They are said to be considering a wedding party later this year for those who could not attend.
