Spanish police are clamping down on the sale of false tickets in Madrid ahead of kick-off tonight, with two further arrests near the Liverpool Fan Meeting Point.

Cops have told those looking to sell or buy false tickets that they risk being caught or out of pocket.

Only 16,613 have been allocated to both teams in the all-England final at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium, that holds 63,000.

Spanish police confirmed the arrest and warned of the dangers of buying and reselling tickets.

It tweeted: “A person has been detained in Madrid for selling two false tickets for the Champions League final for 8,400 euros (£7,435).

“Reselling is a bad idea that can end up being very expensive for you, and if you are offered them they could be false.”

It is reported that a man bought the false tickets close to the match stadium.

When he realised they were stolen, he contacted police and the woman was arrested in the centre of Madrid near Puerta del Sol.

Cops have also made two further arrests for reselling false tickets.

Police tweeted: “Two more detained after selling false tickets near the Liverpool Fan Meeting Point in Madrid.”

Spanish cops have launched a major operation with 4,700 police on the street.

There are estimates of 100,000 fans in Madrid and the black market is reportedly thriving.

UEFA have also confirmed that police have been stamping out attempts by fans to enter the match illegally.

A UEFA statement read: “The Spanish police have seized fake steward bibs, fake devices for the technical ticket check, as well as fake accreditations.”

Spanish police also confirmed that four Brits were arrested on Friday night for aggression.
