Newcastle eyeing CSKA star
Newcastle are weighing up a bid for £26.4m-rated CSKA Moscow right back Mario Fernandes this summer.
The Brazil-born defender was part of the Russian national team at the last World Cup after Vladimir Putin granted him a passport via a Presidential decree.
An attacking full back, Fernandes has played 34 times for CSKA this season, scoring once and racking up nine assists.
And with Newcastle looking to beef up on the flanks of their defence, he has emerged as the latest of several candidates being looked at.

Trippier closing in on Napoli transfer?
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to offload Kieran Trippier if a suitable offer arrives for the right-back.
Trippier is currently at the centre of a tug-of-war between Serie A side Napoli and La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid.
Italian outlet Il Mattino report that an agreement has been struck between the player and Napoli.
But the Serie A side must table an acceptable bid for Pochettino to sanction the deal.
Romelu Lukaku does not feel he will play a part in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans next season (Pic: GETTY)
Lukaku anticipates exit?
Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku believes that he has no part in boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans next season.
Soon-to-be Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is particularly interested in bringing the Belgium international to Serie A.
The former Juventus manager tried to sign Lukaku when he was in charge at Chelsea between 2018 and 2018, while the striker was an Everton player.
And although the 26-year-old hitman chose to join Manchester United instead, Conte did not take the snub personally, according to The Times.
Divock Origi has chipped in with pivotal goals for Liverpool this season (Pic: GETTY)
Origi to stay at Liverpool?
Liverpool have offered Divock Origi a new contract in a bid to fend off interest in their striker from other clubs.
Mundo Deportivo recently claimed that Barcelona were eyeing up a surprise swoop for Origi to act as back-up for Luis Suarez.
Jurgen Klopp has been impressed with the Belgian's attitude and commitment to the Reds' cause this year.
And as such, Kop chiefs have reportedly offered Origi improved terms in order to extend his stay at Liverpool.
The 24-year-old's current deal is set to expire at the end of next season, but Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur says the club have now tabled an offer for him to stay beyond that date.
Paul Pogba could join Maurizio Sarri at Juventus if the Chelsea boss takes over the Turin club (Pic: GETTY)
Pogba to join Sarri at Juventus?
Manchester United star Paul Pogba is the first man on Maurizio Sarri’s wish list if the Chelsea boss takes over at Juventus.
According to Tuttosport, the 60-year-old wants to bring Pogba back to Turin from United to partner the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid want Pogba this summer too, with Zinedine Zidane keen on luring his compatriot to the Bernabeu.
United’s £89m record signing wants the move to Real as well, but Sarri’s potential appointment as successor to Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus could see him pursue Pogba.
£15m-rated Fabian Delph is set to leave Man City with Leeds keen on a shock return (Pic: GETTY)
Leeds explore Delph return?
Leeds have declared their desire to bring Fabian Delph back to Elland Road as he looks set to leave Manchester City.
However, the cost involved in a deal and the stronger competition for his signature makes pulling off the move difficult.
His price-tag is still a major factor as The Sun say Pep Guardiola’s side will demand £15m for Delph this summer, despite him being a fringe player.
The vast Premier League interest in him means City can hold out for a larger fee.
A £15m fee would be deemed too expensive for Leeds, not to mention his wages would likely be significantly higher than what a Championship club could budget for.
Xherdan Shaqiri could be let go by Liverpool (Pic: GETTY)
Shaqiri out, Chukwueze in at Liverpool?
Liverpool are reportedly ready to offload Xherdan Shaqiri as they look to seal the transfer of Villarreal starlet Samuel Chukwueze.
While Shaqiri started out his Liverpool career impressively, the Switzerland international found game time hard to come by as the season progressed.
One player that he is looking at though, according to Goal, is Villarreal starlet Chukwueze.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season in La Liga, scoring five goals in 19 games, while also impressing in the Europa League.
His versatility appeals to Klopp, it is believed, given that he has played across the frontline this season and as an attacking midfielder.
While the Reds are not actively looking to sell Shaqiri, bids upwards of £20m would surely have to be considered.
Man Utd have £175m defensive wish?
Manchester United are reportedly targeting Harry Maguire and Kalidou Koulibaly after being snubbed by Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.
De Ligt was given the chance to join Manchester United but opted to join team-mate Frenkie de Jong at the Nou Camp instead.
According to ESPN, United bosses have other targets in Leicester’s Maguire and Napoli’s Koulibaly.
The club tried to sign Maguire after the World Cup last summer but Leicester would not budge on a £75m valuation for the defender.
Napoli centre-half Koulibaly is regarded as one of Europe’s best defenders and has also been continually linked with a move to Old Trafford but could cost close to £100m.

New Ojo deal before Rangers loan?
Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo is set to sign a five-year deal before immediately joining Rangers on loan.
Ojo spent this season on loan at French side Stade Reims but he struggled to make an impact.
The 21-year-old started just three times in Ligue 1, but he’s highly rated by the staff at Anfield.
Starsport understands he’s set to be rewarded with a new five-year deal.
Liverpool acknowledge his need for regular minutes and after signing fresh terms, he’ll link up with club legend Steven Gerrard at Rangers.
The Gers boss brought in Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria last summer, and while he’s keen to have Kent back again, the winger is expected to move elsewhere, meaning Ojo would likely fill his team-mate’s boots at Ibrox.

Pulisic took Aubameyang advice on Chelsea?
Chelsea newcomer Christian Pulisic has revealed that he discussed his potential £58m move to Stamford Brige with Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The 20-year-old had a little help from an old friend in deciding to move to London.
Arsenal signed Aubameyang from Dortmund for a club-record fee of £56m last January, a year before Pulisic agreed to join him in the Premier League.
Revealing the finer details of his chat with Aubameyang, Pulisic told the Evening Standard: “When the possibility of my transfer to Chelsea came around, I reached out to him.
"Even though Pierre-Emerick left Dortmund for Arsenal, we remained in contact. I have spoken with him on and off ever since he moved here. I asked him how it was in London and stuff. He loves it here.
"He is a big city kind of guy, you can see that and he has told me about a few places to go see.”

Pogba to Real Madrid for £160m?
Manchester United should listen to Real Madrid’s offer for Paul Pogba because he is not the type of player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
"[Zinedine] Zidane continues to say he’s the one I want,” Balague said on his Youtube channel.
"He thinks that he may actually play with two holding midfielders, Casemiro and somebody else in the middle, perhaps [Federico] Valverde, perhaps another one, and would allow Pogba to play in front of them. That will be the plan.
"Very expensive. Manchester United keep saying they’re not selling. [But] I’m starting to think, for the kind of profile of player that Solskjaer wants, Pogba is not needed.
"So if Real Madrid are serious about it and they want to put £160m plus on the table, I wonder if Manchester United will basically listen.”
