RIO FERDINAND and Gary Lineker went absolutely berserk as Lionel Messi scored his sensational free-kick.
The Argentine magician, 31, curled his stunning effort over and around the wall, sticking it right in the postage stamp of Alisson's goal.
Rio Ferdinand and Gary Lineker went crazy as they celebrated Lionel Messi's stunning free-kick against Liverpool
It was his 600th Barcelona goal - a fitting way to bring up the latest incredible milestone - and put Barcelona 3-0 up against Liverpool in their Champions League semi-final.
After bundling in his side's second with quarter of an hour to play, seven minutes later he netted this latest beauty, even by his standards.
And BT Sport pair Ferdinand, 40, and Lineker were beside themselves watching from their studio at the Nou Camp.
In a video uploaded by the ex-Manchester United defender - who was no doubt delighted to see Liverpool lose - Ferdinand falls back and knocks into the desk while Lineker holds his arms aloft in celebration.
After a few seconds of giddy jumping around, screaming, a man hug and some forceful grabbing of each others' expensive suits, the pair just about regain their composure to watch the replay.
Former Barcelona striker Lineker, 58, turns to the screen and shouts "wow" while Ferdinand covered his mouth, utterly gobsmacked.
All the while, fellow pundit Luis Garcia has his hands on his head in disbelief.
Garcia and Lineker both grab their phones and the latter tweeted soon after: "WOW! Just Wow. Messi scores his 600th goal for @FCBarcelona with as good a freekick as you’ll ever see.
"The little genius defies logic." He then added two goat emojis.
Messi's double after Luis Suarez's opener - which he celebrated against his former employer - mean Barca already have one foot in June's final in Madrid and will look to confirm their place in the second leg at Anfield next week.
