Dawson in charge as Iron host AFC Wimbledon

Andy Dawson will take temporary charge of Scunthorpe for Saturday’s League One relegation scrap with AFC Wimbledon.
Dawson has stepped into the breach after the Iron sacked Stuart McCall in midweek, with the Glanford Park outfit just two points above the drop zone.
George Thomas comes back into contention after Wales duty, though youngster Jordan Hallam could stay in the starting XI after scoring in the 3-1 defeat at Rochdale.
Tom Pearce is available after England Under-20s action, while Kevin Van Veen can return after suspension.
Will Nightingale could return for AFC Wimbledon as he eases back to full fitness after knee trouble.
The defender had initially feared a serious knee ligament injury, but is now closing in on a quick-fire return.
Deji Oshilaja remains a doubt having missed five weeks with a foot complaint, while Kwesi Appiah continues to battle a hamstring problem.
Wimbledon will aim to hit back to winning ways after Saturday’s 4-2 home reverse at the hands of Gillingham, with Wally Downes still in the hunt to guide his men to safety.
