MANCHESTER UNITED star Paul Pogba and Patrice Evra celebrated Marcus Rashford’s game-winning penalty by using Paris Saint Germain’s own slogan against them.

After the 21-year-old striker scored the VAR-awarded penalty in injury time, Evra posted a video of himself and Pogba celebrating the historic Champions League win.

Both Frenchmen were caught on camera chanting “This is Manchester ici” and “Manchester ici”.

One of PSG’s most popular slogans is “Ici, c'est Paris”, which translates as "Here is Paris”.

After continuous chanting for half a minute Evra, who spent eight years at United, looks into the camera and says his iconic catchphrase: “I love this game.”

Pogba also joined in and shouted “I love this game” before Evra signed off the video by saying goodbye and thank you in French.

United had an uphill battle before kick-off after losing the first leg 2-0 at Old Trafford.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saw his side get off to a great start when Romelu Lukaku opened their account after just two minutes.

PSG equalised 10 minutes later with a strike from Juan Bernat off a pass from Kylian Mbappe.

A gaffe from PSG keeper Gianluigi Buffon gifted Lukaku with a simple tap-in to give United their second goal after 30 minutes.

All hope for United progressing to the quarter-finals appeared to have vanished as injury time played out, until Diogo Dalot’s long-range speculative shot was ruled to have struck PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe’s arm.

Following a long wait, the referee used his VAR pitch-side monitor and awarded United a penalty, which Rashford smashed home to seal a historic comeback.

After the game Solskjaer admitted United now “fancy ourselves” in the Champions League after their triumph at the Parc des Princes.

“We always believe, that’s the thing,” Solskjaer said.

“We set out the plan. It wasn’t about having the ball and outplaying them.

“If give this team too much space and time, with Mbappe, we saw a few times in the first half when we missed our defensive shape and they were through us straight away.

“The plan was to get the first goal and be in the game with five or 10 minutes to go and we were.

“The belief in the boys was just what we hoped for. Of course, there was a great start. We set out a plan to get the first goal.

“We didn’t expect it after two minutes, but that made it more open for us. We wanted many goals in the game.”

United will find out who they face next in Europe’s elite completion when the draw for the quarter-finals takes place on Friday 15 March.
