Elliott Romain’s late strike earned Dagenham a point in an entertaining 2-2 draw against 10-man Maidenhead.
The Magpies took the lead from the first noteworthy chance of the game on the quarter hour. It was all too easy for defender Ayo Obileye as he was left unmarked at a corner and he powered home a header.
Lamar Reynolds brought a superb save from Maidenhead goalkeeper Carl Pentney with a well-struck volley, Romain was inches wide with a header and Chike Kandi curled a shot past the post as Dagenham ended the first half strongly.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Alan Massey was shown a second yellow card for obstructing Romain, and Dagenham made them pay shortly afterwards when sub Alex McQueen lobbed Pentney.
It looked like the visitors had snatched the points when Nana Owusu fired home a stunning strike from distance nine minutes from time, but Romain tapped home an equaliser in the 87th minute to ensure the spoils were shared.
