The Croatian prosecutor's office has accused the Real Madrid player, Luka Modric, of lying during the trial of the former president of Dinamo Zagreb, Zdravko Mamic.
If there was a crime of false testimony, Modric would be exposed to penalties that in Croatia range between six months and five years in prison.
According to the Croatian newspaper Vecernji List, there are discrepancies between Modric's statement and the player's testimony in 2015, when the case was investigated.
