Former Arsenal defender Gabriel had the delight of marking Luis Suarez, who insulted him during the cup tie. But the now-Valencia defender responded in classy, classy fashion.
Barcelona entertained Valencia in the semi-final of the Copa del Rey on Thursday night, with the hosts heading into the second leg with a slight advantage thanks to Suarez.
The Uruguayan netted the only goal of the game, opening the scoring in the 67th minute.
He not only got on the score-sheet but also made headlines for his exchange with the Brazilian defender.
Following the defeat at the Camp Nou, Gabriel revealed that Suarez called him a derogatory term; 'cagon'.
The English translation is 'shitty' or 'coward'. "These are matters for the pitch," he said about his interaction with the Barcelona striker.

But how did Gabriel respond?
"He told me that I was a cagon, and I told him that he was a good player, that he was the best No. 9 in the world," he said.
Brilliant.
"But that stays on the pitch, now we forget it and that's it," he added.
"We fought until the end as Marcelino wanted, it's the first battle and we had to give our all for the team. Now onto the next game.
Gabriel continued: "I don't see myself in the final yet, Barcelona are the best team in the world and we have to come out ready to make sure we are in the final.
"It was a great game, in the first half we were a bit deeper, we defended well, in the second half we were better with the ball and had chances.
Can Valencia overturn the first leg deficit?
