Sunderland vs Ipswich - Chris Coleman could hand new signings debuts

Sunderland boss Chris Coleman could throw his deadline-day signings straight into the mix as he looks for a dramatic improvement against Ipswich.
The Black Cats are one place and a single point off the foot of the Sky Bet Championship table after Tuesday night’s 3-1 defeat at Birmingham and in desperate need of a boost as they target a second successive home win.
Goalkeeper Lee Camp, midfielder Ovie Ejaria and striker Ashley Fletcher arrived during the final few hours of the winter window as midfielder Didier Ndong departed, and all three will hope for a chance to make an early impact.
Central defender John O’Shea missed out through illness at St Andrew’s and Coleman will hope he is available again with Lamine Kone a major doubt with a knee problem, while want-away midfielder Jack Rodwell remains on the books after failing to find a new club.
Ipswich will have Dominic Iorfa available again after the on-loan defender was not eligible to face parent club Wolves last weekend.
Striker David McGoldrick will be assessed after not being able to train this week, but midfielder Cole Skuse should return after recovering from an ankle problem.
Midfielder Tom Adeyemi will be monitored after making a comeback from a hamstring injury with a brief run-out for the under-23s. Goalkeeper Dean Gerken remains sidelined by a hip problem.
Gambia winger Mustapha Carayol has signed until the end of the season, while teenage defender Barry Cotter has come in from League of Ireland club Limerick.
