Alexis Sanchez's agent travelling to secure £35m Manchester United move

Alexis Sanchez is close to joining Manchester United, according to The Mirror.

The report states Sanchez's agent Fernando Felicevich is travelling to Manchester to hold talks to secure his client's transfer from Arsenal.

Arsenal are expected to receive £35 million from United, while it is claimed Sanchez could land a whopping £30 million signing on fee.

Sanchez was left out of Arsenal's squad on Sunday as they faced Bournemouth, and went on to lose 2-1.

Sanchez will become a free agent in the summer and this is the last transfer window in which Arsenal could receive money for him.

United could be persuaded to allow Henrikh Mkhitaryan in part exchange, with manager Jose Mourinho offering no guarantees over the Armenian's future [SkySports].

Sanchez's situation has become a big distraction at Arsenal, while Mesut Ozil's contract is also running down.

BBC Sport reported last night that Arsenal intend to make a final decision on Sanchez's future within 48 hours.
