RAFAEL VAN DER VAART'S ex-wife sizzles on the beach in California days after confirming she is single.

Sylvie Meis is enjoying the festive period by soaking up the sun in the West Coast's 29C heat.

Dutch model Sylvie, 39, does her best Baywatch impression as she takes a run through the ocean.

And she dries off on a sun lounger surrounded by plenty of holiday goers.

Sylvie and Van der Vaart - dubbed the "Dutch Posh and Becks" - split five years ago this month siting domestic violence and it was claimed at the time the ex-Real Madrid ace hit his wife after a row.

They have a son and daughter together.

Van der Vaart, now 34, said at the time: "It was very foolish of me. I'm an idiot. I'm very sorry. It should never have happened."

TV personality Sylvie who is a hit in Holland and Germany - had moved on with Dubai businessman Charbel Aouad and in April the pair got engaged.

But just days ago it emerged they had split and Sylvie is back on the market.
