CHELSEA star Alvaro Morata’s wife is pregnant with twins, it has been claimed.

The Blues hitman and Italian beauty Alice Campello revealed earlier this month they were expecting a child.

Reports in Spain late yesterday said the couple had been told not one but two babies are on the way - and they are identical twins developed from a single fertilised egg that’s split and grown into two.

Respected showbiz website Vanitatis quoted sources close to the couple confirming they had received confirmation of the happy news on Wednesday.

Well-ready Spanish daily ABC also published the same revelation, highlighting a recent social media post by Alice showing two identical mouse soft toys and dummies which sparked speculation from fans that twins were on the way.

The couple married in Venice on June 17 after Morata proposed during a magic show in Madrid.

The £58million striker, who has now netted ten league goals for the reigning champions, went down on bended knee as magician Antonio Diaz turned Alice away from the footballer and pretended he was going to perform a trick on her.

Onlookers at the packed Rialto theatre in the Spanish capital applauded the touching moment before recording it on their mobile phones.

Alice, who moved to Spain from her native Italy to Iive with the footballer before they married when he moved back to Real Madrid after a spell in Italy, immediately said ‘yes.’

The 25-year-old summer signing, who was linked with Man United and Arsenal before sealing his move to Chelsea, later posted a picture of the engagement ring on his fiance’s finger on Instagram alongside the message: “She’s said ‘yes.’ We’re getting married. I love you.”

He shared an intimate Instagram snap of him kissing his other half’s stomach on December 11 to announce the pair were expecting a child.

He captioned the picture: “The first time I saw you I knew you were going to be the mother of my children and I’m sure you will be the most beautiful, best and sweetest mother of all. I could not love you any more.”

The couple have yet to comment on social media on the twins reports.

Alice, who posted a picture of her kissing her husband by their Christmas tree three days ago, last updated her Instagram last night/on Wednesday night to tell Morata in a touching message: “Thank you for supporting me in what I do and helping me always, for advising me always to do more things that make me happy, for putting my happiness above yours and for making me your priority above everything and everyone.

“Thank you for having changed my life and for becoming the most marvellous man I could have wished for, the perfect husband and a future incredible daddy.”
