PAUL POGBA is set for a hairy week as he ponders launching an appeal to have his red card overturned after a stamp on Hector Bellerin.

The Manchester United midfielder, 24, sent his studs into the leg of the Arsenal defender during the 3-1 win over the Gunners at the weekend.

Paul Pogba showed off a new hairstyle, his 20th since rejoining Man United, for the 3-1 win over Arsenal

But Pogba wasn't just seeing red from the referee... he also played around with his hair yet again to introduce a colourful stripe to his barnet.

The former Juventus star has been back at Old Trafford for not quite 18 months after putting pen to paper on his then-record £89million deal.

Amazingly in that time, Pogba has had 20 different hairstyles... not haircuts, styles.

From shaved stripes to mohawks and bright red streaks to splashes of blue, there's not a lot Pog hasn't experimented with when it comes to his hair.

But not everyone is in love with Pogba's off-the-field lifestyle.

After all, the French star is paid an outrageous amount - around £200,000-a-week - to play football.

But often, regardless of the situation - whether winning or losing - Pogba can always be found joking around, dancing, singing or dabbing on social media.

While being a fun-loving person is no bad thing, sometimes the United star appears to forget the enormity of his role at Old Trafford.

Pulling on the United jersey is no small feat... with one of the largest, most passionate and most demanding fan-bases on the planet.

Therefore all of his - and his team-mates' - antics are on display across the globe, particularly when shared on Instagram or Snapchat.

Now there's no doubting Pogba is one of United's best players and Jose Mourinho's men evidently lacked creativity while he was out injured.

However, his stats since rejoining the club hardly make for mind-boggling reading - and certainly not £89m, plus £200,000 per week.

After all, Pogba has mustered just eight Premier League goals and nine assists in 3,292 minutes - spanning 38 matches.

On top of that, he's unleashed 116 shots... but only found the target 39 times.

Meanwhile his passing accuracy is a solid if unspectacular 84.9 per cent, from 2,729 passes.

United fans would argue Pogba's impact is not stat-based and while that may be true, the Frenchman's creative impact may well be just a little over-exaggerated.

During his 38 matches, he's created a mere 72 chances, including his assists - at less than two per game.

Whether urban legend or a fact, Pogba is still seen as the leading man of the United squad.

But would fans rather he kept his hair-tweaking, dance-creating, social media-loving antics to himself a little more?

After all, dancing around while on crutches during another infuriating - from the fans' perspective anyway - injury lay-off is hardly going to help him make any new friends.

Pogba really ought to strive to become a hallowed legend of Old Trafford 20 years from now, not "the kid who returned, was OK, but always had fun hair, at least"...
