It is fair to say there is history between Gary Lineker and Karim Benzema, the former England striker previously being critical of the Frenchman and, after Tottenham Hotspur's 3-1 victory over Real Madrid, Lineker posted a fresh cheeky message about the forward.
Benzema endured a difficult evening at Wembley in which he struggled to make any real opportunities for himself.
"Double Alli makes it 2-0. Surely Zidane will bring on Benzema now," he tweeted, the implication being that the former Lyon striker had been anonymous on the pitch to that point.

After having previously labelled the 29-year-old overrated, the former Spurs goal-scorer looked to stick the boot into Los Blancos even further after the third goal went in.
"Marvellous 3rd goal for Spurs, it is them in white and not Real Madrid right?" Lineker remarked.
