Tottenham striker Harry Kane believes that he is not far from winning the Ballon d'Or and that claiming the prestigious award is a dream of his.
Kane, the only English candidate, was delighted to have been chosen as one of the nominees alongside football greats, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar.
"It's great to be on the roster," the forward said in a preview of BBC's Football Focus programme, that was issued this Friday.
"Being named with all those big names is fantastic.
"I think I still have a lot of work to do to be up there and fight for the trophy, but I do not think it's that far.
"If you look at the year I've had, you can see that it has been fantastic.
"Now, what I have to do is improve every year, I will not hide that winning the Golden Ball one day would be a dream."
The 24-year-old England international has been in impressive form this year, netting 43 goals in 37 matches for his club and national team.
