Loris Karius' agent has insisted that the goalkeeper won't be sold by Liverpool this summer and will instead stay and fight to be the club's first-choice shot-stopper.
Karius joined Liverpool from Mainz last summer and had a spell in the starting line-up before a succession of mistakes saw him lose his place to Simon Mignolet.
However, Florian Goll stated that there is no possibility that Karius, whose contract runs until the summer of 2021, will be on the move during this transfer window.
Goll told goal: "There is absolutely nothing to the rumours that Karius will leave."
"He did not sign at Liverpool for the short term — he believes in the vision of the manager and he wants to be fully fit and prepared to fight for the No. 1 position from the first day back."
"He has already started his individual programme to keep fit during the summer because he wants to be completely ready when preseason starts."
"He is extremely motivated by the competition.”
Is Karius a better option than Mignolet?
How Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet compared in the Premier League last season (per 90 minutes).
The evidence suggests that Klopp was correct to reinstate Mignolet at Karius'expense.
Indeed, the Belgium international kept more clean sheets, conceded fewer goals and made more saves per game, although Karius did have a slightly superior distribution accuracy rate.
Liverpool have already made one signing during this transfer window in young striker Dominic Solanke and there are likely to be several further arrivals at Anfield as Klopp looks to improve his squad.
