Man Utd legend Peter Schmeichel made a surprise appearance ahead of Leicester’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atletico Madrid.

And among the players the keeper greeted on their way to the pitch was his son Kasper, the stopper for the Foxes.

In a classically awkward moment, Peter says “ here comes the big star” as Kasper appears, red-faced.

They briefly say hello to each other and have a little man hug before Kasper sheepishly heads for training.

But the moment wasn’t missed by Vardy, who saw his chance to troll his teammate.

He can be heard saying: “Bring your father to work day, is that what it is?”

Schmeichel senior sees the funny side and says “it is” before shaking the striker’s hand and having a chuckle.

Leicester head into the tie at the King Power Stadium facing a 1-0 deficit from the first leg.

The Foxes will be looking for revenge after conceding a controversial penalty that was put away by star striker Antoine Griezmann to give the Spanish side the slender lead.
