Tim Howard is a veteran of over 113 caps for USA.
But that doesn't mean he's respected by every citizen on the other side of the pond.
The Colorado Rapids keeper was involved in an altercation with a Sporting Kansas City supporter in which he called the fan a 'motherf***er' after being told to 'go back to Colorado'.
That outburst has cost Howard dear.
The 38-year-old has been banned for three games and slapped with an undisclosed fine by MLS.
"Tim Howard made a regrettable mistake for which he is being disciplined by MLS, a club statement read.
"While this is out of character for Tim, we do not condone these actions.
"Everyone at the Colorado Rapids Soccer Club stands behind Tim and we look forward to welcoming him back to the pitch in the near future."
