Manchester United 9/4 favourites to sign Kyle Walker from Tottenham

Manchester United are 9/4 favourites with bookmakers Ladbrokes to sign Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker.

The England international has impressed for the north London outfit this season as he's registered four assists in the Premier League - more than any other defender in the division - and appears to be courting interest from Jose Mourinho.

Since arriving at the 'Theatre of Dreams' in the summer, the Portuguese tactician hasn't been afraid to splash the cash having signed Paul Pogba for a world record fee as well as spending in the region of £30million on both Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Now according to Ladbrokes News' Dave Burin, the 'Special One' is now targeting reinforcements in the full-back area.

"Things could soon look very Rose-y for Man United fans, with the Red Devils primed to bring in defensive talent and weaken a top-four rival in the process," he said.

United are likely to face stiff competition for Walker's signature as local rivals Manchester City are at 7/2 to make a move for the 26-year-old, while Liverpool and Chelsea have odds of 10/1.

Furthermore, there are odds on a switch across north London to Arsenal for Walker - following in the footsteps of a certain Sol Campbell - with the Gunners placed at 12/1 to raid their bitter rivals for one of their best players again.
