Massimiliano Allegri is interested in the Arsenal job, according to reports.
The Sun suggests that the Juventus manager is eager to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium, and build his own legacy.
With Frenchman Wenger yet to sign a new deal beyond the current season, the Gunners are believed to be putting the feelers out to find a potential successor.
49-year-old Allegri has been linked with the job by Gazzetta dello Sport but now The Sun indicates that the Italian is actually keen on making the move to London.
It is understood that Allegri will leave Juventus this summer and with Wenger in his 20th season at the helm of the Gunners, a change could be in order.
Allegri's agent has made contact with Arsenal chiefs and has reportedly been encouraged by positive signs shown by the Premier League club.
Other games on Arsenal's short-list include RB Leipzig's Ralph Hasenhuttl and AFC Bournemouth's Eddie Howe, while Atletico Madrid's Diego Simeone and club legend Dennis Bergkamp have also been mentioned.
