Jose Mourinho reportedly held a secret meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson
JOSE MOURINHO reportedly held a secret meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson in order to address some of his Manchester United concerns.
The Portuguese boss endured a tough start to life at Old Trafford as Manchester United slipped down the league table and only just qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League.
But Jose Mourinho's side have started to turn it around of late with United now unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions after their 3-1 win over Sunderland yesterday.
According to The Sun, in the meeting Ferguson told Mourinho to go back to being the Special One.
During the crunch talks Mourinho was eager to pick the brains of Ferguson, who won 13 Premier League titles with the Red Devils.
He asked the Scot about how to get the best out of Michael Carrick.
The 35-year-old, who signed for United under Ferguson, was in and out of Mourinho's starting XI at the start of the campaign, but he's recently become a key figure in the side.

Carrick has started United's last five Premier League matches that has seen them record four wins and a draw.
Mourinho has taken Ferguson's advice on board as he hopes to make his team a stronger force in the new year.
