Blackburn Rovers vs Rotherham United - Danny Graham may miss clash

Posted Friday, September 16, 2016 by PA

Struggling Blackburn may be without forward Danny Graham against Rotherham in the Championship as their injury worries grow.

Graham has been having injections in his ankle to play through the pain and was struggling in the game against Leeds in midweek.

Tommie Hoban (hip) is also a concern, though Owen Coyle is hopeful he should be available, while Corry Evans and Marvin Emnes have knocks they may struggle to overcome.

Coyle is definitely without Adam Henley (hamstring), Elliott Ward (ankle), Charlie Mulgrew (calf) and Anthony Stokes (knee), but Elliott Bennett (hamstring) is expected to return to the squad.

Rotherham will be without suspended defender Darnell Fisher, who sits out a one-game ban following his dismissal for two yellow card offences in the 2-2 home draw against Nottingham Forest in midweek.

Skipper Lee Frecklington is hoping to play a bigger part after recovering from a calf injury, having stepped off the bench for the last eight minutes.

Dexter Blackstock has yet to feature following his recent arrival and missed out against his former club on Tuesaday night, but fellow striker Danny Ward is expected to shake off the effects of cramp.

Joe Newell is still working his way back from ankle surgery in the summer as the Millers chase their second league win of the season.
