Queen's Park 1 - 0 Livingston: Livi slip to first defeat against Queen's Park

Posted Sunday, August 28, 2016 by PA

Leaders Livingston slipped to a first defeat of the Ladbrokes League One season as Queen's Park ran out 1-0 winners at Hampden Park.

Aiden Malone's 25th-minute strike proved good enough for the hosts, whose victory was their second of the campaign.

The visitors started the better side and Liam Buchanan forced Andrew Murphy into an early save, but the hosts went ahead when Malone bundled home from a corner.

Michael Miller and Buchanan fired wide in the second half but Livingston were unable to find an equaliser.

Alan Lithgow skied a late chance for the away side and, when they finally managed to get the ball in the net, the linesman flagged for offside.
