Joe Cole is not expected to be available for Coventry against Doncaster as they try to build his fitness.

The on-loan Aston Villa midfielder is likely to make his comeback against Sheffield United next week.

Reda Johnson (hamstring) and Jordan Willis (knee) will miss out with skipper Johnson expected to miss the season.

James Maddison is closing in on a comeback from an ankle injury which has sidelined him since August.

Doncaster will be unable to call on Richie Wellens after he joined Oldham on loan on Thursday.

Boss Darren Ferguson can call on Gary MacKenzie, Luke McCullough and Harry Forrester after all three returned to training this week.

Paul Keegan is stepping up his comeback from a knee injury and will return to full training on Monday, meaning his month-long absence nears an end.

Curtis Main (back) and Dany N'Guessan (hamstring) are not available for Rovers.
