AFC Wimbledon vs Morecambe - Semi Ajayi faces late fitness test for Dons

AFC Wimbledon defender Semi Ajayi will be assessed on Friday to determine whether he is fit to face Morecambe in their League Two clash at Kingsmeadow.

Ajayi, on loan from Cardiff, was substituted in the 1-0 defeat at Oxford last Saturday after a clash of heads.

Manager Neal Ardley said: "Semi has a slight fracture in the bottom of his nose, but providing he has not got any signs of headaches or anything like that it will be all systems go for him."

Striker Adebayo Akinfenwa will be hoping to regain a starting spot having come off the bench against the U's following a hamstring problem.

Morecambe are set to have a triple boost on the injury front ahead of the trip.

Shrimps boss Jim Bentley is hopeful that Aaron Wildig (groin), Adam Dugdale (ankle) and Andy Fleming (back) can all overcome their respective problems to play.

Laurence Wilson is still struggling to feature, however, as the full-back continues to be troubled by a hamstring strain.

Midfielder Peter Murphy is a long-term absentee but the club's captain has at least started running again after injuring his knee in the Sky Bet League Two side's opening fixture.
