Walsall vs Chesterfield - Saddlers have Neil Etheridge and Jason Demetriou back for Chesterfield clash

Neil Etheridge and Jason Demetriou are available again for Walsall after international duty.

Defender Demetriou scored the winner in Cyprus' 2-1 win over Israel which helped book Wales' qualification for Euro 2016, while goalkeeper Etheridge played for the Philippines in North Korea.

Craig MacGillivray deputised for Etheridge while James O'Connor will be assessed with the centre-back struggling with a groin injury after being forced off late on in last week's 2-0 win over Burton which sent the Saddlers top of League One.

Matt Preston stands by to deputise should O'Connor fail to recover in time.

Winger Gboly Ariyibi returns to the Chesterfield squad after being away on international duty with the United States Olympic team.

Forward Lee Novak is also set to rejoin the group, ending a five-match absence with a thigh injury, leaving just long-term injury victim Angel Martinez (knee) and striker Byron Harrison in the treatment room.

Blues boss Dean Saunders has plenty of options available to him as he looks to improve a dismal run of five defeats and only one win from the last seven league matches.

Along with Ariyibi and Novak, the likes of Sam Hird, Dion Donohue, Mani Dieseruvwe and Jake Orrell could come into Saunders' thinking for starting places.
