Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-term girlfriend Irina Shayk delighted fans when they attended an awards ceremony in Madrid, Spain.

Despite the couple's four-year relationship, Cristiano and Irina are rarely pictured walking the red carpet together, but on Monday night the Russian model showed her support by accompanying Cristiano to the Professional Football League gala.

It was a celebratory night for Real Madrid champion Cristiano, who scooped the gongs for Best Forward, Best Goal and Best Player for the 2013-14 Liga BBVA season.

While Cristiano, 29, cut a dapper figure in a charcoal suit and navy blue tie, his girlfriend Irina drew eyes for her elegant evening gown.

The beautiful lady in red flaunted her statuesque figure in a full-length, column dress, which featured cut-out panels on the side and silver embellishments around the waist and neckline.

Irina, 28, let her natural beauty shine through as she applied pale pink lipstick and a hint of smoky black eye shadow.

The model, who has graced countless international magazine covers, held hands with her football legend boyfriend as they walked the red carpet and Irina looked to be enjoying her beau's special night.

Cristiano, meanwhile, showed off his pride on Twitter, sharing a photo of himself accepting an award on stage alongside the caption: "This is a big moment for me. I won the awards for Best Forward, Best Goal, Best Player in La Liga 2013-14. Very happy."

The couple have been going strong since they first started dating in 2010, after having reportedly met through their Armani Exchange campaigns.

Earlier this year Cristiano even referred to Irina as his "wife", sparking brief speculation that the couple had tied the knot in secret. The moment occurred when he was giving an acceptance speech, after having won the prestigious Fifa Ballon d'Or award in January.

Cristiano first thanked his teammates and then "[his] wife, [his] friends, [his] son" for their support.

Irina has enjoyed a close relationship with Cristiano's four-year-old son, Cristiano Jr, and the duo are often pictured bonding on family days out and supporting the Portuguese football player from the side.
