ARSENAL ace Olivier Giroud was spotted out and about in his homeland this weekend.

Giroud - currently injured - was seen in Paris with wife Jennifer and their daughter.

The 28-year-old was pushing a buggy and wearing colourful espadrilles, light blue chinos and a denim shirt.

Giroud was initially expected to be out of action until 2015, but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he is recovering well from surgery on a broken foot.

"Olivier Giroud is recovering very well," Wenger said.

"I believe he is ahead of schedule in terms of rehabilitation. The operation went perfectly."

Giroud scored 22 goals last season, and notched two in four games this term before injuring his tibia in the 2-2 draw at Everton.

Danny Welbeck has taken over the goalscoring mantle since his £16million move from Manchester United, hitting four goals in six games for Arsenal.

Giroud could return from injury ahead of schedule

While Welbeck will help cover for Giroud's absence, Wenger believes the pair can play together when the Frenchman returns.

He added: "Welbeck and [Giroud] can play together in the centre or separately.

"Welbeck also played on one side to Manchester United. Welbeck played in the same team with [Wayne] Rooney and [Robin] van Persie. He can play down the sides."
