MENELIK WATSON cannot wait to run out at Wembley with the Oakland Raiders on Sunday - but he'd rather be wearing a Manchester City shirt.
CITY SLICKER: Watson wishes he played for Man City
The Manchester-born offensive tackle is back home to take on the Miami Dolphins in the first of this season's three International Series NFL games.
Watson was a second round draft pick last year - the highest ever for a British player - but admits he will never forget his roots.
"I wear my City jersey to work sometimes," he said. "I feel like a City player.
"If they came calling I'd be persuaded away from the Raiders! I can still play. Me and Yaya Toure - no-one's getting by us!
"Playing at Wembley is special. I can't imagine what it's like when it's full and rocking. It should be amazing.
"I was always dreaming about playing here as a City player."
Although the Raiders have lost all three games so far this season, Watson hopes they will one day follow in City's footsteps.
"The City fans don't know how to react to success because you've been in a rut for so long," he said. "How many years were we bad?
"But Raiders fans are the most passionate. There are guys in the stands in full football pads with spikes on and masks, screaming their lungs out. They deserve some success."
