OUR favourite Geordie lass is back with new single Crazy Stupid Love and in it she's flaunting the flattest stomach we've EVER seen. Here, British Military Fitness trainer Garry Kerr tells us how to get Chezza's awesome abs

When we saw the teaser photographs from Cheryl Cole's comeback single, Crazy Stupid Love, featuring Tinie Tempah, there was only one thing we were looking at: those abs.

After a two-year musical hiatus it seems the 30-year-old is back to her best and she looked stunning in bronze harem trousers and a skimpy black crop top.

Chez shot the video in Hackney, East London and says it's a bit different to her previous work.

"The video isn't what I've done before in terms of lighting and stuff, and it's a bit more grimy."

"The song's quite up and pop so I wanted it to have an urban twist."

Chez roped 20 dancers and 50 extras into helping her out with the vid, and the 20-hour shoot was so intense that at one point one of her dancers threw up!

It seems you don't get a sexy stomach like that by sitting on the sofa shovelling Dorritos into your gob.

"To get awesome abs you need to spend about five to 10 minutes, three times per week working on your core muscles," says Garry.

These four simple exercises will ensure you have a flat stomach in no time:

The plank

Adopt a stance similar to a press-up but keep your forearms on the ground and shoulder width apart beneath your chest.

Keep your body straight and your feet together and balance on your toes.

Pull the belly button up to your spine to feel the full effect. Just hold still in this position.

Aim to hold for 20 to 60 seconds and lower slowly. Repeat three to five times.

Plank superman

From the normal plank, lift your left foot off the ground slowly. Then slowly extend your right arm in front of you.

You should now be balancing on your left forearm and right foot. Again hold and squeeze in the abdominal area.

Aim to hold for 10 to 30 seconds and repeat two to three times on each side.

Half sit

Lie flat on your back with your knees bent at 90 degrees. You then squeeze your abs and slowly raise your shoulders and body, keeping your back straight.

Come about halfway up so you maintain tension in the abs and then slowly lower - but don’t let your shoulders touch the ground.

Aim to complete 10 to 20 repetitions and repeat three to five sets.

V sit

Lie flat on the ground and raise your feet off the ground about six inches. Slowly raise your legs and sit up with your torso, bringing your hands to touch your toes.

You then slowly lower to the start position, keeping your back and legs straight.

Aim to complete five to 15 repetitions and repeat two to three sets.
