East Fife 1 : 2 Stranraer - Bell tolls for Fifers

An injury-time winner from Steven Bell ensured Stranraer came away with all three points in a 2-1 victory over East Fife at Bayview.

The Blues took the lead after just 51 seconds when Jamie Longworth slotted home Grant Gallagher's pass into the bottom left-hand corner.

Stephen Hughes almost equalised for the Fifers after 11 minutes when his shot rifled against a post.

The visitors should have doubled their lead after 35 minutes but Chris Aitken fired over from six yards.

Liam Buchanan then equalised for East Fife. smashing home Hughes' cross into the top-right corner after 41 minutes.

But Stranraer snatched victory late on when Greg Paterson brought down Martin Grehan in the box in the first minute of injury time.

Paterson saved Bell's initial spot-kick but the substitute followed in to slot home the rebound.
