Carletto eyes Italian job for De Sciglio

Real Madrid continues to scour the market in search of a versatile full-back to cover Coentrao’s more than probable departure. The first player to attract Real’s interest was Granada full-back Siqueira, but negotiations cooled because Quique Pina’s club would not sit down and negotiate for less than €8m, a fee which Real Madrid deemed excessive for a player who would be signing as cover for Marcelo.
Ancelotti has made it clear that, if Coentrao leaves, Real Madrid has to definitely sign a full-back and his first choice has a name and surname: Mattia de Sciglio. The 20-year-old Milan full-back can play both on the right and the left and, though naturally right-footed, there is some to debate as to which is his strongest wing.
Ernesto Bronzetti, Ancelotti’s agent and a man greatly trusted by Florentino Pérez, has already been in touch with the Milan full-back’s agent, Donato Orgnoni, to enquire about the young player’s contractual situation and his availability to join Ancelotti’s new-look Madrid. In the next few days, Florentino and Galliani could have to sit down at the negotiating table and discuss De Sciglio.
