The forward is confident that the Rossoneri can compete for the Scudetto this year, saying they may even be better than the current title holders now
M’Baye Niang believes AC Milan are a better team than Juventus heading into the new season.
The Rossoneri finished two places and 15 points behind Serie A champions Bianconeri in 2012-13 but the 18-year-old, who joined San Siro last summer, wants to help usurp the back-to-back Scudetto winners this campaign.
"We hope to do better than Juventus [this season]. I think we are better, but let’s see what happens. We can achieve great things," he told reporters.
"I want to stay at Milan for as long as possible. I am working for the new season and I will 100 per cent stay with Milan. I have to do my job, score goals and grow as a player.
"Massimiliano Allegri tells me I am young and need to keep working to improve. We have a great rapport.2
Niang has set specific goals for himself as he looks to play a bigger role in Milan's first team, including challenging the likes of Mario Balotelli in attack.
The Frenchman added: "I work hard because I want to become stronger than Balotelli. He gives me a lot of advice, as do Kevin-Prince Boateng and Philippe Mexes. I can play as a centre-forward or support striker, as long as I get to play."
