Fab won’t be a seat warmer for Wenger

FABIO CAPELLO turned down Paris Saint-Germain because he thought he would only be keeping the manager’s seat warm for Arsene Wenger.
Former England boss Capello was set to take over from Carlo Ancelotti.
But he changed his mind after being told he would get only a 12-month deal.
He believes PSG’s Qatari owners plan to appoint Wenger when his Arsenal contract expires next year.
An insider revealed: “Wenger is the man PSG really want. Any appointment this summer would be a stop-gap.”
Wenger, 63, prides himself on never having broken a contract.
But PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been courting the Gunners boss for two years.
Wenger has 12 months left on his £7.5million -a-year contract and has yet to discuss a new deal.
Arsenal want him to stay but after 17 years in London Wenger is seriously contemplating a return to France.
Capello’s son Pierfillipo had talks with PSG’s owners the Qatar Investment Authority this week.
His father was ready to resign as boss of the Russian national team until he learned there would be no guarantee of employment beyond next season.
Now Capello has decided to see the Russians through to the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
PSG, who have failed to lure Gus Hiddink, Andre Villas-Boas and Michael Laudrup, could turn to Roberto Mancini.
But the former Manchester City chief is unlikely to join if he has to make way for Wenger next summer.
