Wayne Rooney's Man Uted future in doubt as RVP rescues point

WAYNE ROONEY’S Manchester United future is in doubt after he was subbed, while Robin van Persie nicked a point.
Paris Saint-Germain target Roo looked grumpy as boss Alex Ferguson, who again played the England ace in a deeper role, hooked him with 19 minutes left.
And former team-mate Michael Owen said: “He is probably not feeling his best. He played furthest up front. But he has not played the lone-man role for many years now.”
Dutchman Van Persie struck again last night to grab the draw which keeps United 13 points clear of Manchester City in the title race.
West Ham led twice, through Ricardo Vaz Te and a Mo Diame wonder goal, only for Antonio Valencia and Van Persie — from an offside position — to peg them back.
Angry Hammers boss Sam Allardyce rapped: “When you play Man United and your team has shone and scored one of the best goals of the season — to have the assistant referee take it away from you is a bit difficult to take.
“Their job is to give the offside decisions when they appear in front of them. This was a blatant one.
“West Ham fans should be going home tonight with 41 points knowing we are safe. We are probably safe with 39 points but there is £60million, £70m, £80m riding on it.”
Ferguson had his own gripe with the officials as he thought Andy Carroll should have been sent off by Lee Probert for barging into keeper David De Gea.
Fergie said: “They were very aggressive. You hope there is a strong referee and I’m not so sure we got that tonight. It was an obvious red card but the referee saw different.”
