Drogba: Last Chelsea season was my peak

Galatasaray's Didier Drogba considers his Champions League triumph with Chelsea to be the peak of his career so far.
The Ivory Coast international wrote his name in Chelsea history after putting away the last spot kick during the 2012 final shoot-out against Bayern Munich to win the Blues their first Champions League trophy.
Leaving Stamford Bridge a few months after for Shanghai Shenhua, Drogba moved on from the Chinese club just six months later when he signed for Galatasaray in the January transfer window.
The forward told UEFA magazine that he had expected his association with the Champions League to come to an end after leaving Chelsea with a winner's medal.
"I didn't expect to be back in the Champions League, but I have a special relationship with the competition, I have played in the tournament back-to-back for nine seasons with Marseille and Chelsea," Drogba shared.
"Last season I finally lifted the Champions League trophy, my last season with Chelsea was the peak of my career."
Besides Drogba, Galatasaray have also signed former Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder, and the 2009 African Footballer of the Year revealed that the attacking duo were eager to get back to their best for the club's fans.
"Our transfers got an amazing reception, we are trying to live up to what is expected from us," Drogba stated.
"Wesley hadn't played football for six months and had to build up his match fitness. I hadn't played for a few months either, I wouldn't be telling the truth if I said I'm 100 per-cent however, I'm best to give everything for the team."
