Death threats ... Imogen Thomas was targeted by trolls
She says: “Yes, that label annoyed me. I wasn’t that person and I’ve only been out with two or three footballers.
“If I was that person I’d be marrying one now — but I’m with a normal person.”
This week we revealed how Manchester City star Mario Balotelli had cheated on his girlfriend by bedding hooker Jennifer Thompson, famed for having a threesome with Wayne Rooney.
Warning girls to beware of footballers, Imogen says: “You’re not going to be treated nice by them. Most footballers think they’re invincible and that they can get away with murder.
“It’s the world they live in. They’ve got people around them who are yes men and that’s the problem. They’ve got a lot of money and the lifestyle that goes with it and some girls want that. It seems quite lucrative when you look at it. A lot of girls think, ‘I could have a bit of that’.”
It was last April that news emerged of Imogen’s affair with a then unnamed Premiership footballer who had taken out a superinjunction preventing his identity being revealed. She was also accused of blackmailing the star but later cleared.
