IT’S been the worst year of her life – in which she teetered on the brink of suicide – but now Imogen Thomas is slowly starting to pick up the pieces.
A year ago she was caught in a storm of controversy after soccer star Ryan Giggs gagged her with a superinjunction to stop her talking about their six-month affair.
Today, as he looks to end the year in triumph by driving Manchester United to another Premier League title, Imogen tells The Sun of her devastation at being branded a “sl**”.
She says: “It doesn’t seem like a year ago, it seems like yesterday — it’s still raw. But I feel like I’m free again, I feel like a new me. I want to put everything that happened in the last year behind me.”
A big part of her new-found happiness has been her boyfriend, 25-year-old Aussie City trader Adam Horsley.
She says: “We’ve been seeing each other for six months. We met in a bar in London and although I was very much in the news then, he didn’t know who I was.
“He’s not the type to judge people before getting to know them. We went on a couple of dates and we’ve been inseparable ever since.
