Roma make move for Man United starlet Morrison

Roma have made a shock enquiry for Ravel Morrison – and the Manchester United youngster is open to the idea of moving to Italy.

TalkSPORT understands Morrison is ready to leave Old Trafford in this transfer window after growing frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities.

The highly-rated 18-year-old has six months left on his contract and Sir Alex Ferguson claimed last week he had made ‘unrealistic’ demands over a new deal.

Morrison has since denied ever turning down fresh terms but talkSPORT has been told he is now ready to quit United.

Newcastle are interested in the midfielder and had a bid of £500,000 turned down last week.

But now Italian side Roma have entered the race for Morrison’s signature and are planning an offer of their own after being informed the England Under-19 star would welcome a switch to Serie A.
