Sevilla vs Getafe preview - Toral targets home comforts

Sevilla coach Marcelino Garcia Toral has called for his side to put an end to their disappointing home form when Getafe visit the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Toral's side have managed just a single point in their last three home assignments, drawing 2-2 against Racing Santander before a morale-sapping 2-1 defeat to Granada and a loss to Athletic Bilbao by the same scoreline.

Nevertheless, victory over Getafe would see them overtake Malaga in fifth place in the Primera Division table and the manager wants a return to their early season successes at home.

"We started the season well at home, but lately it (home form) has been costing us.

"The loss to Granada hurt us in terms of confidence levels.

"We are playing an opponent who has won victories in Seville in recent years with increasing regularity. But we try to give the satisfaction to our fans.

"We know that if we do what we know we can do and are helped from the stands, the win should be ours."

Toral, meanwhile, refused to enter into the debate about the timing of the match on a Monday night and insisted it should have no bearing on the result.

"It is not usual, but it is what we have been assigned and we do not expect it will have any influence in either the game or the outcome."

Getafe head into the match on the back of their eyebrow-raising 1-0 defeat of Barcelona, yet midfielder Pablo Sarabia believes that superb result is meaningless without more of the same to back it up.

"We will come with confidence after Saturday's win but it is no use having won the previous weekend if we mess up now," he said.

"We have done well (in Seville) but every season is different. They are a great team and a rival to take into account. It will be very hard and very competitive."
