Forlan: Experienced striker heads to Milan for a new challenge
Inter Milan have confirmed they have completed the signing of Diego Forlan from Atletico Madrid.
The 32-year-old has joined on a two-year deal and has been brought in to fill the void created by Samuel Eto'o sale to Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
Forlan, though, should prove a more than able replacement and has excellent credentials at both club and international level.
"Diego Forlan is an Inter player," read a statement on the club's official website.
"Inter have signed Forlan on a permanent deal and he has signed a two-year contract."
During his four-year tenure in the Spanish capital Forlan won the Europa League and the Super Cup.
And over the last two years at international level with Uruguay, he has been equally successful.
He was voted the best player of last year's World Cup after finishing joint-top scorer on five goals and was instrumental as Uruguay claimed the Copa America this summer.
