Columbus Crew announce friendly with Newcastle United

The Columbus Crew annouced today that they will host Newcastle United in an international friendly on July 26th.
"We are pleased once again to bring top-flight international soccer right here to Columbus and to provide the best competitive challenge for our team,” said Crew President & General Manager Mark McCullers. “The English Premier League is arguably the best league in the world and Newcastle United is one of its most storied clubs.”
This will be Newcastle's second trip to Columbus since 2000, with the first game resulting in a 2-2 draw after Jeff Cunningham netted the equalizer in the 84th minute for the Crew.
The Crew are 9-3-2 all-time in international friendlies and 2-2-2 agaisnt English Premier League clubs, with notable defeats of Leeds (2-1) in 1997, and Fulham (2-1) in 2005.
